Davis comes a long way since $69 suit

MURFREESBORO – MTSU men’s basketball coach Kermit Davis hit a milestone with career win No. 400 last Saturday when the Blue Raiders won at Old Dominion.

Of that total, a school-record 263 of them and counting have come in the 13-plus seasons since taking over the MTSU reins in 2002. That’s what stood out the most for Davis, who also has head coaching stints in chronological order at Southwest Mississippi Community College, Idaho, Texas A&M, Idaho (again), Chipola Junior College and MTSU.
